About the Role
We are hiring an Sr. SQL Server DBA
Day to Day:
Design, develop, and implement complex SQL Server database solutions
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SQL Server environments
Lead and support SQL Server migrations (2016 2022)
Perform advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting using tools such as Query Store
Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, replication, etc.)
Support business-critical applications across multiple enterprise domains
Handle BAU support + project-based work simultaneously
Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
Proactively monitor and maintain database stability and performance
Must Haves:
10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
Strong expertise in SQL Server (2012 2022 preferred)
Advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
Hands-on experience with Always On and high availability solutions
Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Experience using Query Store for performance optimization
Familiarity with SQL Server tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSDS)
Experience supporting high-volume enterprise production environments
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Plusses:
Experience working in Linux environments
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
Exposure to additional technologies like Redis and TigerGraph
Experience with other relational database management systems
Background supporting large-scale migrations and modernization efforts
Hourly Rate: 60$-65$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
