Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This person will perform an interdisciplinary role, acting as the primary interface between the business/client and cross-organizational technology teams. The individual will be responsible for working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, then working closely with the development team to refine the requirements into executable specifications. This role requires a combination of business and technology skills with strong leadership, communication, and facilitation abilities, utilizing tools such as GitHub Copilot, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence within a Scrum framework.
Responsibilities: - Analyze current processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology
- Act as the primary interface and facilitator between business stakeholders and IT teams to understand and document needs
- Work with the development team to refine requirements into specifications that can be executed
- Create prototypes to share with both business and technical teams to evaluate solutions
- Create and execute project plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs
- Serve as a key contributor to the overall management and success of a project through the entire lifecycle
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science
- 5-6 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Speech IVR or other client/user-facing systems (Online or Mobile) as an analyst, developer, designer, or tester
- Clear understanding and experience with Agile/Lean methodologies
- Working knowledge of Agile tools (Jira), Bitbucket, GitHub Copilot (or similar tools), Prompt engineering, Python, and Confluence
- Highly proficient in analysis, creating use cases, creating High-Level Designs, API/webservices documentation, Gap Analysis, and Defect Triage
- Influential and diplomatic with good presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users and management
- Cloud and call center technology knowledge
- Detail-oriented with solid technical writing skills
Desired skills: - Experience with Genesys Cloud CX and/or Genesys Architect or certification for the same
- Mobile or web-based software development project experience
- Good knowledge of Agile Lean Software Delivery Life Cycle and/or iterative development life cycles
- Ability to work in a high-paced work environment
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
