Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Global Financial Crimes technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack Java and Angular development and a proven ability to deliver high-quality, performant solutions, partnering with cross-functional teams to meet acceptance criteria and target architecture objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications within the Global Financial Crimes environment.
- Collaborate with business partners to define requirements and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
- Write clean, testable code and perform unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stack, including multithreaded services and UI components.
- Partner with architecture and platform teams to implement target architectures and support migrations to strategic platforms.
- Optimize data-intensive applications and conduct performance tuning and profiling.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of full-stack Java application development.
- 4+ years of Angular development for enterprise web applications.
- Strong Core Java, including multithreading, Collections API, JDBC, and Java profiling tools.
- Proven experience in performance tuning of data-intensive applications.
- Strong coding, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience delivering software using Agile methodologies and processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in enterprise stress testing.
- Experience with Elastic, Hadoop, Teradata, or similar big data ecosystems.
- Knowledge of cloud or distributed computing.
