Need: 3+ Years of SQL Server / Database Development Experience
Must Have:
·Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+)
·Strong hands-on experience with T-SQL

·Strong experience with ETL Development
·Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
·Strong experience with Data Warehousing and Relational Databases
·Strong experience in Report Development and Data Reporting
·Experience with Data Pipeline Development, Automation, and Monitoring
·Experience with healthcare/public health data environments
·Experience working with:
o HL7 v2.x (ORU Messages)
o XML
o CSV
o SOAP
·Experience with database migration, validation, and troubleshooting
·Understanding of data security standards:
o HIPAA
o PHI / PII
o CDC Data Compliance
Good To Have:
·Public Health / Disease Surveillance Systems experience
·Experience with Electronic Disease Surveillance Systems (EDSS)
·Experience with Electronic Case Reporting (eCR)
·Experience with CDC reporting systems
·Power BI experience
·SAS modernization/conversion experience
·Experience managing large datasets (1TB+)
·Knowledge of:
o LOINC
o SNOMED
o FASTQ files
o R / RStudio
Responsibilities:
·Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases and solutions
·Create and maintain stored procedures, queries, and database objects
·Develop and support ETL workflows and SSIS packages
·Build, enhance, and monitor data pipelines
·Support data migration activities and system integrations
·Develop reporting solutions and dashboards
·Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
·Support production environments and ensure data availability
·Automate data processing and maintenance activities
·Create technical documentation, data flows, and process diagrams
·Collaborate with developers, DBAs, vendors, and business stakeholders
·Provide technical guidance and recommend best practices
