RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Scottsdale, AZ.
Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing customer accounts to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices. This role plays a key part in supporting healthy cash flow by partnering with customers and internal teams to resolve billing issues, apply payments, and monitor account aging.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Generating, reviewing, and distributing customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms
* Monitoring accounts receivable aging and proactively following up on past-due balances via phone and email
* Researching, resolving, and documenting billing discrepancies, short pays, deductions, and disputes
* Accurately applying customer payments, including cash, ACH, wire, and credit card transactions
* Maintaining detailed and accurate account notes and records within the ERP or accounting system
* Preparing and analyzing AR aging reports and escalating risk items as appropriate
* Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve issues
* Assisting with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
* Supporting audits by providing invoice documentation, payment history, and reconciliations
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
* Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred (NetSuite experience a plus)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to handle customer conversations professionally
* High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic financial reporting
* Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize follow-ups effectively
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
