Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Software EOL Analyst for a
contract assignment with one of our premier
financial clients in lower Manhattan, NY. This is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days onsite.
Position Overview The Software EOL Analyst will play a key role in driving execution of initiatives focused on identifying, tracking, and remediating end-of-life technologies and vulnerabilities. This individual will not only monitor progress but will also partner with engineering, infrastructure, and risk teams to help move remediation efforts forward.
The ideal candidate has a
solid understanding of software EOL concepts and a strong technical foundation, combined with the ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, and push initiatives toward completion.
Responsibilities :
- Actively support and drive execution of remediation efforts for in-scope end-of-life technology assets (EOLTA)
- Track, analyze, and validate data related to software lifecycle, vulnerabilities, and risk exposure
- Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security teams to follow through on remediation actions and ensure progress
- Monitor project timelines and proactively identify gaps, delays, or risks
- Prepare and deliver clear status reports, dashboards, and key metrics (e.g., KRIs)
- Take ownership of assigned workstreams and ensure tasks are progressed to completion, not just tracked
- Escalate blockers or risks in a timely and structured manner
- Support audit and regulatory requests, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
- Contribute to governance processes by maintaining proper documentation and adherence to standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support ongoing tracking of deliverables
Required Skills:
- 1-4 years of experience in IT, technology risk, compliance, or a related field
- Good understanding of Software End-of-Life (EOL) concepts , including lifecycle management, upgrade/replacement strategies, and associated risk
- Strong technical foundation , with exposure to infrastructure, applications, or enterprise IT environments
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive tasks to completion and follow through on deliverables
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to vulnerability management or IT asset management
- Experience in financial services or a regulated environment
- Familiarity with IT governance and risk frameworks
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms or DevSecOps practices
