Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Specialist – Expert to support the NC Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA) for the Medicaid Services (HMS) project. This role will focus on healthcare data integrations, analytics, and technical infrastructure support across EHR systems and data platforms.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong experience in SQL, SAS, and healthcare data systems, along with the ability to collaborate with healthcare providers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical integration efforts with EHR vendors and healthcare participants
Support and monitor NC HIEA and SAS technical environments
Manage change requests, bug fixes, and system updates for NC HealthConnex Clinical Portal
Develop and optimize SQL & SAS queries for data analysis and reporting
Perform data validation, transformation, and load processing (ETL workflows)
Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate actionable insights
Support analytics and outbound data services using InterSystems HealthShare tools
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years (84+ months) of relevant experience
Strong expertise in:

SQL & SAS (must-have)
Healthcare data systems & EHR integrations
Data analysis, ETL processes, and reporting

Experience with InterSystems HealthShare or similar healthcare platforms
Ability to work with clinical data, patient records, and healthcare workflows
