Summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Product Strategist, Medicaid Claims Transformation, to lead Medicaid claims-related product domains as part of the transformation of our core adjudication products. This role is for a product leader who can combine deep Medicaid domain expertise, modern product management practices, and executive-level influence on shape platform strategy and turn complex payer and program needs into product direction.

The Product Strategist, Medicaid Claims Transformation will own domain strategy and outcomes across one or more claims-adjacent domains, including member, provider, benefits, clinical, and finance. The role will partner across product, engineering, architecture, operations, client-facing teams, and business stakeholders to modernize how Gainwell defines, builds, measures, and evolves core Medicaid capabilities.

Your role in our mission

  • Lead product strategy for Medicaid claims-related domains, translating member, provider, benefits, clinical, and finance needs into clear product outcomes and domain roadmaps.
  • Shape the transformation of core adjudication capabilities by defining modern product direction, platform opportunities, and domain-level investment priorities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Medicaid program operations, claims workflows, regulatory and policy context, client pain points, market dynamics, and ecosystem shifts.
  • Use product discovery, customer research, workflow analysis, data, and experimentation to validate problems, prioritize opportunities, and reduce delivery risk before large-scale build commitments.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, design, operations, implementation, sales, and client-facing teams to align domain strategy with feasible, scalable product execution.
  • Frame ambiguous domain and platform decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and bring recommendations forward with clear rationale, product economics, and business impact.
  • Create and evangelize product narratives that help executives, delivery teams, and stakeholders understand the transformation vision and the why behind priority decisions.
  • Define success measures for domain outcomes and use qualitative and quantitative insights to evaluate adoption, operational impact, user experience, and product performance.
  • Identify new product opportunities within Medicaid claims and adjacent domains, including opportunities enabled by platform modernization, workflow redesign, automation, data, and interoperability.
  • Coach and influence other product managers and cross-functional partners by modeling modern product practices and raising the quality of product decision-making.


What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of experience in Product Management, Software Development, Consulting, Technical Support, Business Analysis, and Data Analysis, with a proven ability to drive product strategy, innovation, and business outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in Product Systems Design, Customization Strategies, and Integrating Software and Technology Solutions to meet complex business and operational requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Technology Architecture, Mainframe Environments, Scheduling Software, and Related Enterprise Technologies, with the ability to align technical capabilities with business objectives.
  • Experience partnering with clients and stakeholders to translate business, technical, and data requirements into scalable product solutions, leveraging software development tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated strengths in Product Development Methodologies, Strategic Planning, Analytical Problem Solving, Decision Making, and Prioritizing Initiatives in Complex Environments. Experience with AI Product use cases, solution design, and the application of artificial intelligence technologies to enhance business and product outcomes is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $116,100.00 - $165,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
