OverviewWe're looking for an entry-level IT Support Technician to help support a large enterprise environment within a financial institution. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on technical experience, exposure to enterprise tools, and the opportunity to grow within a well-established team. You'll be supporting both help desk and desktop teams and will have flexibility to focus more on the areas you enjoy most-whether that's customer-facing support or hands-on technical work.
What You'll Work OnThis role supports ongoing IT projects and daily operations. Responsibilities include a mix of end-user support, hardware work, and documentation:
- Provide Tier 1 help desk support as the first line of defense via phone and ticketing system
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and peripheral issues
- Support desktop break-fix, printer support, and device installations
- Assist with Microsoft 365 (O365) rollout activities
- Log, track, and document incidents using the ServiceNow (Sharewell) ticketing system
- Escalate issues to Tier 2/3 teams when appropriate
- Assist with asset management, imaging, inventory tracking, and equipment organization
- Support simple project setups and staging of IT equipment
- Perform light physical tasks such as moving equipment, palettes, and drive grids
The manager is flexible in assigning responsibilities. If you prefer customer support and calls, you can focus more on help desk duties. If you enjoy hands-on work and troubleshooting, you may focus more on desktop and on-site support.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills
- Comfortable working with end users in a support-focused role
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment
- Interest in IT, technology, and learning new systems
- Basic understanding of computers, troubleshooting, or help desk workflows is helpful (but not required)
- Positive attitude and willingness to take feedback and grow
Work EnvironmentYou'll be supporting the Help Desk Team and Network Operations Center (NOC) in a professional enterprise setting. The team is close-knit, collaborative, and supportive, making it a solid environment for learning and development. This role is on a night shift (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM).
