Your Key ResponsibilitiesCo-ops who are earlier in their academic journey and complete a successful rotation may be invited back during other semesters or summers to work with us again! The successful co-op student will be provided with a project charter and description during their onboarding process. The co-op will provide key deliverables in their assigned area at the end of their co-op assignment. Project examples include (but are not limited to):
- Define and document process parameters
- Quantify and lead actions needed for scrap reduction
- Improve effectiveness and efficiency of key machinery in high volume work areas
- Participants should be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction
- S/he will be given developmental opportunities through tasks such as projects, job-rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's manufacturing and technological processes
- Learn, understand, and adhere to the current specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contribute to the achievement of quality objectives
Your Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be pursuing an academic degree (preferably in automotive, industrial, or mechanical engineering)
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience utilizing written and verbal communications
- Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
- Assertive approach to solving problems
- Ability to prioritize
- The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move thirty pounds
- External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
