Summary

JOB SUMMARY The Lead I is responsible for optimizing efficiency, cost, and quality through automation, process improvements, and agile delivery. This role involves learning new technologies and domains, contributing to practice-related activities, and identifying/resolving technical design issues. The Lead I will independently analyze, design, develop, test, and document functionalities for ERP/CRM platforms, acting as a point of contact for build and deployment issues, and managing client environments. This position also includes mentoring junior developers, influencing customer satisfaction, and implementing new features. Key Responsibilities - Optimize efficiency, cost, and quality by identifying opportunities for automation, process improvements, and agile delivery models. - Learn technology, business, and system domains as recommended by the project/account. - Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities, including assembling content for case studies, contributing to reusability, coordinating internal seminars, conducting knowledge sharing sessions, organizing hackathon sessions, and participating in hackathons. - Identify problem patterns and improve the technical design of applications/systems. - Select appropriate technical options for development, such as reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components. - Independently analyze, design, develop, and test functionalities. - Develop technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications and Deployment documentation. - Perform design document reviews, peer code reviews, and suggest code improvements. - Serve as a single point of contact for build and deployment issues, resolving them in a timely manner. - Implement code/configuration changes in the production environment to resolve post-production move issues. - Independently manage client environments and perform installation-related activities. - Perform root cause analysis, technical troubleshooting, architecture, and resolve performance issues. - Mentor juniors for client discussions, day-to-day activities, and basic administrative tasks. - Influence and improve customer satisfaction through suggestions for code refactoring, small improvements in business processes, completing sprint deliverables ahead of schedule, and assisting client architects and product owners with design suggestions or functionality explanations. - Self-learn and implement new features released in ERP/CRM wherever possible. - Set goals in NorthStar and measure progress over time. - Understand requirements/user stories. - Estimate time, effort, and resource dependence for one's own work and others' work, including for modules. - Participate in preparing RFPs and estimations in ERP/CRM Practice. - Understand design/LLD and link it to requirements/user stories. - Adhere to coding standards and follow ERP/CRM best practices; develop code independently. - Review code done by peers and the team. - Create and conduct unit testing; ensure test class coverage above 95%. - Perform defect RCA and mitigation. - Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality. - Effectively interact with customers and articulate their inputs. - Manage delivery of modules and/or manage user stories. - Create/review templates, checklists, guidelines, and standards for design/process/development. - Create/review deliverable documents, including design documentation, requirements, and test cases/results. - Document one's own work. - Report status of assigned tasks and comply with project-related reporting standards and processes. - Contribute project-related documents, SharePoint, libraries, and client universities. - Review reusable documents created by the team. - Follow and monitor the release process. - Clarify requirements and provide guidance to the development team. - Present design options to customers. - Conduct implementation reviews with stakeholders. - Develop features/components with a good understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client. - Participate in the technical screening team for recruiting candidates. - Utilize people management skills to onboard new team members, guide reportees, and provide timely feedback. - Mentor junior developers in the team. - Set goals and provide feedback to team members. Required Qualifications - Ability to explain and communicate design/development to customers. - Ability to perform and evaluate test results against product specifications. - Ability to break down complex problems into logical components. - Ability to manage and guarantee high levels of cohesion and quality. - Ability to estimate effort and time required for own work. - Ability to perform and evaluate tests in the customer or target environment. - Ability to make quick decisions on technical/project-related challenges. - Team player capabilities; ability to manage a team, mentor, and handle people-related issues. - Ability to maintain high motivation levels and positive dynamics in the team. - Ability to set goals for self and team. - Ability to create and articulate impactful technical presentations. - Ability to follow high levels of business etiquette in emails and other business communication. - Ability to drive conference calls with customers and answer customer questions. - Proactive approach to asking for and providing help. - Ability to work under pressure, determine dependencies and risks, facilitate planning, and handle multiple tasks. - Ability to build confidence with customers by meeting deliverables on time with quality. - Ability to estimate effort, time, and resources required for developing/debugging features/components. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to advise on best practices and approaches to the team and the client. - Ability to prepare test data and steps for unit, integration, and production testing as per project needs. - Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - Functional and technical designing on various ERP and CRM cloud platform features and automations. - Thorough knowledge of coding best practices and understanding the limitations of coding. - Experience using data loader tools. - Experience with production deployment and solving deployment errors. - Knowledge of Agile Methods - Scrum and Kanban. - Knowledge in integrating ERP/CRM with external systems using SOAP API, REST API, etc. Certifications - Number of applicable technical/domain certifications completed. Education: Masters Degree
