Job Description
We are seeking an experienced project manager to join our dynamic team. You will contribute your skills as we harness technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve, including a community's most vulnerable. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in leading complex programs, AWS cloud initiatives, and full lifecycle project delivery and a proven ability to translate program strategy into actionable project plans that achieve scope, schedule, budget, and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead one or more large project teams by decomposing complex technology programs and assisting with project staffing.
- Spearhead planning, tracking, and oversight by setting direction and deadlines to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Communicate with clients, company, and leadership, report project metrics and status, and recommend program changes as needed.
- Create and manage project schedules, program definitions, budgets, and objectives across all phases to ensure deliverable quality.
- Manage across non-direct reports, escalate risks quickly, and implement risk mitigation solutions.
- Support Gainwell growth by preparing detailed SOWs and assisting with proposals and business development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 9+ years managing complex projects, programs, or initiatives through the full project lifecycle.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS infrastructure, services, and solution architectures. AWS certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering projects leveraging AWS.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- 9+ years developing and maintaining complex project schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Modern understanding of budget development, control, and assurance methods, and project management software.
- Ability to translate program objectives into clear scope, milestones, and deliverables.
- Leadership to train, guide, and mentor junior colleagues.
- Executive presentation skills with clear and concise communication.
- Creative problem-solving with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity.
- Influence skills to communicate priorities and motivate direct and indirect stakeholders to action.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in health and human services or public sector programs.
- Experience contributing to proposals, SOWs, and business development activities.

Work Environment & Additional Details
- Hybrid schedule in Gold River, CA, three days per week onsite.
- Travel up to 10%.
- Video cameras required during interviews and during the initial week of orientation.
