7246 - Senior Project Manager – Marketing & Agile Delivery
Staff Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support complex marketing, communications, and customer-engagement initiatives. This position will work closely with cross-functional business teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to plan, coordinate, track, and successfully deliver multiple concurrent initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Manager who combines strong traditional project management skills with Agile or hybrid delivery experience. Candidates must have demonstrated experience supporting marketing, communications, customer engagement, campaign, or content-development initiatives.
This position requires onsite work in Sacramento, California.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional projects from planning through completion.
- Develop and maintain project charters, work plans, schedules, milestones, and other project management documentation.
- Coordinate activities across business teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, status meetings, and other stakeholder discussions.
- Document decisions, action items, dependencies, risks, issues, and follow-up activities.
- Develop and maintain project status reports, risk and issue logs, meeting materials, and action trackers.
- Prepare clear project updates and executive-level briefing materials.
- Facilitate Agile planning and delivery activities and apply Agile, hybrid, or structured project management practices as appropriate.
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments and coordinate appropriate resolution or escalation.
- Manage multiple concurrent assignments and changing priorities while maintaining project schedules and deliverable requirements.
- Coordinate marketing, communications, campaign, content-development, or customer-engagement initiatives.
- Work effectively across teams and lead decisions and project activities without direct authority over participating resources.
- Support vendor coordination and ensure activities, approvals, and deliverables remain aligned with project objectives and schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience, including experience leading cross-functional teams on complex business or technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining project management deliverables, including project charters, work plans, schedules, status reports, risk and issue logs, meeting materials, and action trackers.
- Experience facilitating meetings, documenting decisions, tracking follow-up actions, and preparing project updates and executive-level briefing materials.
- Experience utilizing structured project management practices and Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate work and lead decisions across teams without direct authority.
- Project management experience supporting marketing, communications, or customer-engagement initiatives.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in support of campaigns, content development, marketing initiatives, or similar customer-facing programs.
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in Sacramento, California.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, Agile, or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience coordinating external vendors and internal business teams.
- Experience supporting large organizations with multiple stakeholders and formal approval processes.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent marketing or communications initiatives.

This is a contract opportunity anticipated to begin in November 2026 and continue for approximately 12 months.
