Work- Infrastructure teams create a 2-3 year strategy and document it in the "blueprint."
- This role is responsible for reviewing the strategy document to ensure it aligns with what senior leadership wants to accomplish.
- Reviews technical design documents-must understand the design and ensure it aligns with the previously documented strategy so it can be approved.
- Strategy is documented by the technology teams; this role is responsible only for reviewing it.
- Must understand the strategy at a high level. Leadership (Director/CIO) outlines how things should progress over the upcoming years, and this role ensures design documents align with that strategy across the infrastructure space.
- Strategy is defined by capabilities (e.g., database). The bank follows TOGAF as the framework.
- This is not a new role, but the team needs additional support. The team covers different areas, and Sanjay took over this role. The role itself is not new to the bank, but there are other areas the team is responsible for-for example, production support has its own set of tools and capabilities. Other team members cover additional areas, and one person manages production support.
- The ideal candidate is an architect with 10+ years of experience, having worked on multiple projects. Many teams perform similar functions, and someone with 10 years of experience typically has a broad range of skills.
- Must be able to talk to the database team and later speak with the network team, and converse intelligently with a database architect. The role is not expected to be hands-on, but experience is required to contribute effectively to strategy and alignment.
Infrastructure and Application Knowledge - Governance Team - coordination with CIO Architect
- Not looking for someone who is/wants to be hands on with designing or writing code
- Strategy and design alignment - approving designs
- Some project management - mapping and making sure teams hit deadlines.
- Broad based IT knowledge and experience (hardware, software development, middleware, databases, emerging technologies)

The Enterprise Architecture team has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual. The Senior Architect will support the Technical Architecture Domain across the enterprise.
The Senior Architect will facilitate the creation and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise technical capability model along with the aligned blueprints (strategies). The role requires an extensive technical and architectural background with excellent communication skills and organizational agility. This person will partner with leaders and organizations across the enterprise to drive adoption and adherence to the processes and controls supporting the technical domain across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the team. The candidate will be expected to govern a broad portfolio and be a key influencer of strategic technology spend.
Responsibilities include: Responsible for facilitating the creation and maintenance of the enterprise technical capability.
Will partner with the CIO architecture leads across the enterprise to ensure technical domain owners are aligned to all technical domains.
Supports the technical domain owners in the creation and maintenance of technical domain blueprints.
Works with the technology product governance team to keep in alignment the technical capability model and the technical domain owners in the technical product approval flow.
Contributes to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for defined domains.
Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data and Technology) in support of the product roadmap.
Provides high level support across the technical domain and facilitates deeper interaction with the appropriate domain owners.
Participates in design reviews as necessary to address technical architecture questions and concerns.
Required Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in computer science/ related degree or equivalent experience
Extensive experience with enterprise-level technology strategy in an architecture organization (preferably 10+ years IT and 5+ years architecture)
Experience of a large-scale organization preferably Financial Services will be expected demonstrating appropriate contextual knowledge.
Required Knowledge and Skills: - Broad based IT knowledge and experience (hardware, software development, middleware, databases, emerging technologies)
- Certification or extensive experience in industry best practices in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g. UML, BPMN, TOGAF, Zachman)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management
- Understand and empathize with the key challenges faced by sponsors and stakeholders
- Manage senior stakeholder expectations and build trust relationships
- Provide strategic vision based on balanced Risk, Financial, Process, and Resource factors
- Support governance and oversight processes for managing alignment of change to strategic goals
- Translate complex concepts into multiple architectural "views" aimed at varying audiences
- Work effectively in a matrix organization with teams of architects, engineers and business partners with minimal supervision
- Express ideas verbally and in writing to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives
