We are seeking an experienced Apigee SRE Engineer / Platform SME to manage, support, and optimize Apigee API platforms on Google Cloud Platform. The candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the API ecosystem
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Apigee Edge / Apigee X / Hybrid deployments.
- Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
- Implement SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, alerting, and incident response.
- Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Work closely with development, cloud, and DevOps teams.
- Optimize API proxy performance and scalability.
- Ensure security policies (OAuth, JWT, mTLS) are applied correctly.
- Handle upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid).
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of API management and API lifecycle.
- Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
