Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Structured Cabling Technician to oversee and perform structured cabling installations for commercial projects. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, responsible for leading technicians on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise structured cabling crews on job sites
• Install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic)
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Plan daily tasks, assign work, and monitor job progress
• Perform troubleshooting, testing, labeling, and documentation of cabling systems
• Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI, and local building codes
• Maintain quality control and enforce safety procedures
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades
• Train and mentor junior technicians
• Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles as required

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of structured cabling installation experience
• Prior experience leading or supervising cabling crews
• Strong knowledge of copper and fiber infrastructure systems
• Ability to terminate, test, and certify cabling to industry standards
• Ability to read blueprints and low-voltage drawings
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in ceiling spaces
• Reliable, organized, and professional with strong communication skills

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
