Job Title : SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Location:: Columbus, OH Hybrid (4 days onsite)
Duration : 6+ Month Contract
Platform: ServiceNow – Service Management App
Hiring Focus: Mobile (not the consumer mobile app)
We are looking for a Mobile SDET with experience in Android and/or iOS test automation. Candidates may have experience in one platform or both (preferred, not required).
Role Overview
This role supports the ServiceNow Service Management application, not the consumer mobile app.
The application will be deployed on both Android and iOS platforms.
Android + iOS experience is ideal; candidates should be strong in at least one and have working knowledge of the other.
Platform is very specific, so adaptability and platform learning ability are important.
Technical Requirements
Mobile testing experience required.
Experience with both Android and iOS preferred.
Some familiarity with the alternate platform (if primary is Android, should have exposure to iOS, and vice versa).
Ability to work in a platform agnostic testing environment.

Expectation is strong fundamentals rather than platform specific tricks.
Core Requirements (Android and/or iOS)
Strong hands-on experience in mobile test automation for Android and/or iOS applications
Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and utilities
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in mobile environments
Experience ensuring teams adhere to Definition of Ready (DOR) and Definition of Done (DOD) standards
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile testing, including parallel execution and test scalability
Experience with device farms and real-device testing at scale (e.g., Sauce Labs, Perfecto, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack)
API contract testing experience (e.g., Pact for Mobile, Mock Webserver or equivalent)
Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, MVC) and testability principles

Android (Preferred Experience)
Strong Kotlin and Android SDK fundamentals
Hands-on experience with Espresso, UI Automator, Jetpack/Compose testing
Knowledge of AndroidX Test, JUnit 4/5, Test Orchestrator, Gradle, and build variants
Experience with dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger), coroutines, and Flow-based architectures
CI/CD experience using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Strong debugging using Android Studio and performance/profiling tools

iOS (Preferred Experience)
Strong Swift and iOS SDK fundamentals
Hands-on experience with XCTest and XCUITest, including SwiftUI and UIKit testing
Experience with Xcode test plans, schemes, and build configurations
CI/CD experience using xcodebuild, Fastlane, code signing, and parallel testing
Strong understanding of async/await, Combine, and dependency injection for testability
Team & Collaboration
Small, focused team: approximately 3–6 people
