Location: Atlanta, GA – Hybrid
12-Month Contract (Possible Extension)

Hybrid: Resource must work onsite two days per week. Local candidates preferred; non-local candidates must be willing to relocate from Day 1.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced BI Developer with strong Power BI and Tableau expertise to support enterprise data analytics and reporting initiatives. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights for both operational and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing interactive dashboards, optimizing data models, and implementing scalable reporting solutions. The selected resource will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and project teams to translate business requirements into meaningful visualizations and analytical solutions.

This role requires strong experience in data modeling, ETL processes, dashboard development, and performance optimization in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.

• Develop and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.

• Create complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support reporting solutions.

• Build and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.

• Integrate data from various enterprise systems including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.

• Optimize report and dashboard performance for large datasets.

• Implement row-level security and data governance policies within BI solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reporting platforms.

• Support data analysis and ad-hoc reporting requests.

• Document data models, report logic, and technical processes.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog grooming.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau.

• Experience designing interactive dashboards and data visualizations.

• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.

• Experience with data modeling techniques including star and snowflake schemas.

• Experience developing ETL processes using SQL or ETL tools.

• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing performance.

• Experience implementing data security and access controls.

• Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments.

• Experience using Git or version control systems.

• Ability to independently analyze business requirements and deliver complete BI solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Snowflake.

• Experience with DAX and Power Query optimization in Power BI.

• Experience implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.

• Experience supporting executive-level dashboards and KPIs.

• Experience integrating REST APIs into BI solutions.

• Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.

• Prior experience supporting enterprise reporting environments.
