Own the end-to-end OneStream solution across financial consolidation and close, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, data integration, workflow, security and platform governance, in partnership with the customer’s Finance, FP&A and IT leadership.
Lead discovery, requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution architecture and design workshops, translating business requirements into scalable, supportable and reusable OneStream capabilities aligned with the customer’s finance transformation roadmap.
Provide hands-on leadership for OneStream application design and build, including metadata, cubes, workflows, business rules, Cube Views, dashboards, reports, security, data loads, transformations and integrations with ERP and other source systems.
Operate effectively in a global delivery model. For the US position, work from the customer location in Houston during the initial discovery, blueprint and design phases, then transition to a mutually agreed hybrid model. For the India position, work in hybrid mode from any Client India Development Center and collaborate closely with onsite and customer teams.
Your role
The OneStream Solution Lead / Architect holds solution and delivery accountability across design, build, testing, deployment and stabilization. The role serves as a senior customer-facing advisor, leads the onsite-offshore team, drives key design decisions and ensures that the OneStream platform supports reliable close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, reporting and analytics. The position requires the flexibility to work across US and India time zones as needed for workshops, governance and critical delivery milestones.
Responsibilities
Solution Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as the trusted OneStream advisor to Finance, FP&A, Controllership and IT stakeholders; define the target architecture, application design principles, reusable components, environment strategy and roadmap while promoting standard OneStream capabilities and controlled customization.
Onsite, Offshore & Delivery Management
- Lead and mentor distributed functional and technical teams through discovery, design, configuration, development, integration, testing, cutover and hypercare. Establish clear work allocation, review checkpoints, documentation standards and handoffs between Houston-based customer stakeholders and India delivery teams.
Configuration, Development & Integration Oversight
- Design and govern metadata, dimensions, cubes, workflows, forms, business rules, calculations, allocations, intercompany processing, currency translation, data quality controls, dashboards, Cube Views and reporting. Oversee integration with ERP, data warehouses and external systems using appropriate OneStream integration and data-management capabilities.
Testing, Deployment & Platform Operations
- Drive unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing; ensure traceability from requirements to test evidence and timely defect resolution.
- Own deployment readiness across configuration, code, data, security, performance, reconciliation, documentation, training and operational support, with clear entry and exit criteria for each environment and release.
- Lead cutover planning, mock conversions, production deployment, close-cycle readiness, hypercare and knowledge transition; support root-cause analysis and stabilization of business-critical issues.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Act as the primary client-facing OneStream lead for workshops, solution reviews, governance, decision facilitation, RAID management and executive updates. Build trusted relationships, communicate complex topics clearly and balance business priorities with delivery quality, platform controls and long-term maintainability.
Required
- 10–15 years of overall experience in EPM, CPM, finance transformation, enterprise applications or related technology delivery, including 8+ years of hands-on OneStream experience.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of OneStream covering financial consolidation and close, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, workflow, security, metadata, business rules, Cube Views, dashboards and data integration.
- Proven experience leading multiple end-to-end OneStream implementation, rollout, enhancement or support engagements, with ownership across solution design, build, testing, deployment and stabilization.
- Hands-on experience with OneStream application development and administration, including VB.NET-based business rules, calculations, transformation rules, integration design, reconciliation, performance tuning and controlled release management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead customer workshops and distributed onsite-offshore teams, review solution deliverables, manage dependencies and make sound architecture and delivery decisions.
- Willingness and ability to work in the specified hybrid model: customer-facing presence in Houston during initial phases for the onsite role, followed by hybrid working; or hybrid working from any Client India Development Center for the offshore role.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Current OneStream certification(s), such as Certified Professional, Lead Architect or equivalent role-relevant credentials.
- Experience integrating OneStream with major ERP and finance platforms, data warehouses and reporting ecosystems; familiarity with enterprise data governance and reconciliation controls.
- Finance domain understanding across group consolidation, statutory and management reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, allocations, intercompany, currency translation and close management.
- Prior experience in large, multi-entity, global enterprise transformation programs and customer-facing consulting roles in the United States.
