Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Technical Writer

We're seeking an experienced Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, and impactful documentation for enterprise infrastructure, cloud, and data center environments. This role partners closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to transform complex technical solutions into high-quality documentation and visual diagrams.
Key Responsibilities
Research, analyze, and document enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions.
Create and maintain detailed Visio diagrams showcasing network connectivity, transaction flows, and system architectures.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Infrastructure Engineers, Network, Security, Cloud, Monitoring, and SQL Database teams to gather technical requirements.
Author and publish knowledge base articles, operational support documentation, and infrastructure reference guides.
Lead documentation reviews, knowledge-transfer sessions, and documentation handovers via Microsoft Teams.
Ensure documentation quality through peer reviews, standards adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, English, Technical Communications, or related field.
10+ years of technical writing experience, preferably within infrastructure, cloud, data center, or enterprise IT environments.
Strong understanding of:
Infrastructure/server environments
Network protocols and communications
Firewall and security concepts
System and application monitoring
WAN/LAN configurations
SQL databases and database concepts
Advanced Microsoft Visio skills and experience creating technical architecture diagrams.
Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
Strong organizational, project management, and time-management abilities.
Self-starter with proven analytical, research, and independent learning capabilities.
Experience hosting and facilitating Microsoft Teams meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Knowledge Base experience.
Familiarity with HTML/XML authoring tools.
Experience developing and maintaining documentation standards and processes.
Tools & Technologies
Required: Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Word, and SQL knowledge.
Preferred: ServiceNow, HTML/XML authoring tools, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
