General Summary:
Sensors-based technology has a wide range of applications including navigation, gaming, smart user interface, multimedia, virtual reality, and augmented reality. This challenging position offers the opportunity to work with leading edge sensor technologies embedded in smartphones, automotive, XR / AR, IOT, smartwatches as well as other consumer electronics devices. Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment. The successful candidate will work with systems, software, and integration and test engineers in the QCT Sensors team.
Job responsibilities include:
Coding in C and C++, ideally in new modern C++ standards, and unit testing and system testing using modern frameworks like Google Test.
Contribute to the development of compiler, interpreters, and toolchains for our hardware designs.
Use your familiarity with SOC architecture in order to design SOC HW models and related tools.
Architecting software frameworks and modules on a variety of cores like CPU, embedded MCU, and GPU.
Making effective engineering tradeoffs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexity.
Creating reports on algorithm evaluation results and delivering complete design and user documentation.
Programming in one interpreted language (Python, Perl, Ruby).
New technology demonstrations, interfacing with customers and sensor vendors, and partnering with internal and external teams.
The position is technology focused and involves participation in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field 3+ years Software Engineering or related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Detail oriented, taking a thorough and analytical approach, producing complete documentation.
Experience with RTOS and modifying device drivers.
Basic understanding of linear algebra, probability, and statistics.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Familiarity with hardware architectures such as CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
