Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in San Fernando, CA. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $50.00 per hour.

This role focuses on the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting analysis, inspection, design, and testing to ensure product quality, applying statistical process control (SPC) methods, and documenting all quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component
  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
  • Review all purchased products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor
  • Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities
  • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements to management
  • Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to team members and management
  • Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Designs workflows and procedures
  • Design - Generates creative solutions; Translates concepts and information into images; Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Project Management - Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities
  • Managing People - Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities
  • Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Visionary Leadership - Displays passion and optimism; Inspires respect and trust; Mobilizes others to fulfill the vision
  • Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; Aligns work with strategic goals
  • Cost Consciousness - Works within approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures
