Summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Design Technician for a contract position with a Global Professional Services Firm located in Greenville, SC or Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects including state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, data centers, and other industrial sites. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will utilize cutting-edge software tools to produce electrical installation plans and 3D models. This role is ideal for a candidate passionate about buildings and construction who is eager to grow and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce electrical installation plans along with 3D models of equipment, lighting, conduit, cable tray, and other electrical raceways
  • Develop layouts of major electrical distribution equipment
  • Determine the location of other electrical panels and equipment
  • Collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Requirements:
  • An associate's degree from an accredited technical institution or college in Computer Drafting and Design, Architectural Drafting, or similar program OR 2 years of on-the-job experience
  • 0 to 2 years of experience

Desired skills:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, petrochemical and industrial facilities
  • Working knowledge of Revit as well as Navisworks and/or Revizto
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Passionate about buildings and construction

Pay range: up to $40.00 per hour
