Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Facilities Instrumentation Engineering Owners Representative for an onsite position with a Global Professional Services Firm located in Boise, ID. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We're looking for a Facilities Instrumentation Engineering Owner's Representative to play a key role in delivering cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing projects. In this high-impact role, you will act as the technical owner and advocate for Instrumentation and Controls scope during the Tool Installation phase of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You'll provide engineering and design oversight while helping guide technical decisions in one of the most advanced industrial facilities in the world.
Responsibilities: - Provide engineering and design oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools
- Review and influence instrumentation and controls designs related to factory control systems, fire alarms, chemical controls, and TGM systems
- Develop and review technical specifications for tool installation
- Review vendor submittals and design deliverables to ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable codes
- Collaborate closely with facilities, construction, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure successful execution
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an associated degree in mechanical or chemical from an ABET accredited university
- 5+ years of experience in engineering design of industrial control systems
- Strong knowledge of International Fire Code (IFC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), UL, and IEEE standards
- Experience selecting and specifying electrical and controls equipment and systems
- Proven ability to review vendor submittal against contractual and technical requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments
Desired skills: - Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 2+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools (design, installation or cleanroom use)
- Field experience working directly with subcontractors and construction personnel
- Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools such as Revit or AutoCAD
- A forward-thinking mindset with desire to learn, innovate, and continuously improve
Pay range: up to $62.50 per hour
