Role: COBOL - Senior Application Architect
LOCATION: ** Home office in Huntsville, TX. May work remotely, but would need the capability to report to the office with advanced notice. **
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This person will Assist in COBOL programming for the mainframe modernization and CITS. Work involves assisting the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Information Technology with mainframe modernization and implementing CITS. Existing applications are primarily written in Java or COBOL. This person will be responsible for writing, analyzing, modify and testing COBOL programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Assess business requirements;
2. Analyze and design technology approaches and develop global architectures and technology solutions.;
3. Provide guidance and technical direction to team members, including training materials and presentations on relevant products and/or technologies consistent with Customer provided guidelines;

REQUIRED SKILL
· Cobol programming / JCL / DB2 / CICS / Microsoft Teams
PREFERRED SKILLS
· COBOL, Micro Focus, Visual Studio IDE, MS SQL database
