Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our Suffield team. This role is critical in ensuring product quality for precision-manufactured components in a highly regulated environment.

You'll bring strong technical inspection skills, the ability to interpret complex drawings and tolerances, and experience working in industries where quality standards are non-negotiable (aerospace, medical, or similar). This role also serves as a key partner to production-helping identify issues, support root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Perform detailed inspections on precision metal components with tight tolerances
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Utilize precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gages
  • Program and operate CMM equipment (e.g., Micro-Vu, Wenzel or similar systems)
  • Document inspection results and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Partner with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed

As a Group Lead, you'll also:

Function as a working lead, balancing job responsibilities with team coordination
  • Lead/support daily production execution and workflow coordination
  • Acts as a primary escalation point for quality issues
  • Operate with high ownership of process performance (no formal people management authority)
What We're Looking For
  • 5-10 years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment
  • Experience inspecting metal components with tight tolerances
  • Background in aerospace, medical device, or other regulated industries (ISO 13485 or similar)
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Calipers, micrometers, and precision gaging
    • CMM operation (Micro-Vu, Wenzel, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions
  • Prior experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred
Why Join Us
  • Work on high-precision, high-impact products
  • Stable, team-oriented environment
  • Opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality excellence
  • Competitive compensation aligned to experience and market

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (flexibility to start shift schedule earlier or later)
