We are seeking a Senior Program / Project Manager to lead enterprise‑scale observability/APM tool migration programs—e.g., migrating from legacy monitoring/APM platforms to Dynatrace (or similar), including agent rollout, dashboard standardization, alert rationalization, synthetic monitoring, RUM, log/trace onboarding, and ITSM / event‑management integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Own end‑to‑end program delivery: scope, plan, milestones, budget, RAID, governance, status reporting, and executive stakeholder management.
- Drive cross‑functional execution across application teams, infrastructure/platform teams, SRE/NOC, security/compliance, and vendors.
- Build and manage integrated cutover plans, dependencies, and hyper‑care model; ensure controlled transition and operational readiness.
Observability Migration / Transformation Scope
- Lead migration from existing monitoring/APM tooling to target platform (Dynatrace or similar), including migration from “classic” synthetic capabilities to modern synthetic monitoring where applicable.
- Define onboarding approach and prioritization using an APM onboarding methodology based on application criticality/priority and technology compatibility.
- Drive delivery of observability capabilities:
- Dashboards and reporting for onboarded applications and services.
- Alerting/anomaly detection implementation and tuning (reduce noise, improve signal).
- Synthetic monitoring rollout (core + remote components, multi‑location tests, SLA/SLO aligned monitoring).
- Enable required integrations (e.g., virtualization/cloud/event management platforms such as VMware, MoogSoft, Azure integrations where required).
Stakeholder, Vendor & Change Management
- Act as primary interface for business and technology stakeholders; align migration outcomes to reliability and service objectives.
- Manage vendor engagement and support models (licensing coordination, rollout schedule, technical blockers, escalation paths).
- Ensure operational enablement: training, runbooks, support handover, and adoption metrics.
Quality, Risk, Compliance
- Establish program controls: change governance, security approvals, documentation standards, audit readiness.
- Own risk management and mitigation plans; ensure minimal downtime/impact during rollout and cutovers.
Must‑Have Experience / Skills
- 10+ years in Program/Project Management delivering infrastructure, platform, or tooling transformation/migration programs.
- Proven experience leading monitoring/observability/APM tool migration projects (Dynatrace preferred; AppDynamics/New Relic/Datadog/Splunk Observability acceptable).
- Strong understanding of observability domains: APM, metrics, logs, traces, synthetics, RUM, alerting and dashboarding.
- Experience managing complex, multi‑team deliveries with structured governance (SteerCo updates, weekly RAID reviews, dependency management).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication—able to influence engineering teams and present crisply to leadership.
Good‑to‑Have (Preferred)
- Hands‑on familiarity with Dynatrace capabilities such as:
- Synthetic monitoring patterns (multi‑location, click paths), and enterprise onboarding approach.
- Experience delivering dashboards/SLAs, and scaling onboarding across many applications.
- ITIL / Service Management understanding and experience integrating monitoring with ITSM/event management.
- Cloud migration/ops exposure (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
