Our client is seeking a Test Lead In Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
Define and implement enterprise-wide test strategies, frameworks, and best practices
Architect scalable and maintainable test automation solutions for web, mobile, API, and backend systems
Collaborate with Product development, DevOps, and Engineering teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies to improve efficiency and coverage
Lead Test Automation Framework development & Enhancement along with new automation tool evaluation strategy
Mentor and coach QA engineers and SDETs, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning
Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement
Define and track quality metrics and KPIs, using dashboards and analytics to monitor test effectiveness and coverage
Conduct technical reviews and audits of test architecture, automation codebases, and test plans to ensure robustness and scalability
Represent the testing function in architecture reviews, engineering discussions, innovations, and proactive risk assessment
Evaluate and implement AI-powered testing tools (e.g., intelligent test generation, self-healing scripts, anomaly detection)
Stay current with emerging trends in AI, automation, and software testing, and proactively introduce innovations to improve quality engineering
8-10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a test architect or similar Technical role
Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Hands-on experience in testing AI models, including knowledge of AI frameworks and tools
ISTQB Advanced Level Test Architect, or equivalent certifications; experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; and familiarity with AI testing strategies and tools
