Job description
Client has a need for a Business Analyst Consultant for a Workday implementation. The work will be primarily around Business Process Mapping with additional details as shown below.
Primary Responsibilities
* Understands the business drivers and expected business outcomes.
* Builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
* Collaborates with key stakeholders.
* Defines approach and performs activities to “discover”, document, and prioritize stakeholder requirements for assigned module(s).
* Optimize current-state business processes, when possible, in future-state design.
* Collaborate to develop a Responsibilities Assignment Matrix (i.e., RACI).
* Collaborate to develop a stakeholder register.
* Collaborate with the vendor to identify application configuration requirements.
* Logs and follows-through to disposition risks, action items, issues, and decisions.
* Collaborates to develop use cases, scenarios, and test scripts.
* Documents and prioritizes defects and drives remediation efforts.
* Develops and submits status reports.
* Other duties as assigned
Mandatory Qualifications
* B.S. or B.A. degree (4 year) (or Associates degree plus an additional 5 years’ experience)
* Demonstrated competency with mapping Human Resource and Finance business processes that contain steps in and outside of systems
* 5+ years experience in working with multiple stakeholder groups to map, document and optimize business processes.
* Experience with interviewing stakeholders and workshops to extract accurate operational data.

Desired Skills
* Experience as a Business Analyst in state, county, or city governments or non-profit sector
* Experience with Workday system (HCM and FIN)
* CBAP, PMI-PBA, or other business analysis certification
* Lean, Six Sigma, or other business process mapping framework or certification.
* Experience with MS Visio, or other software tools.
