Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for software engineering. You will be tasked with reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted software engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, and event-driven architectures using Kafka and Flink.
Responsibilities: - Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel
Requirements: - 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education
- 4+ years of Java experience, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot
- 2+ years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development
- Deep understanding of Reactive Programming, including WebFlux
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures
- Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines
- Database expertise with both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS)
- 2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
Desired skills: - 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
- Exposure to LLMs (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts
- Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks
Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
