Summary

Our client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Architect to lead the architecture, governance, and optimization of a multi-entity SharePoint Online environment. This role will establish a scalable hub-and-spoke digital workspace, define site architecture and permissions, and develop a strategic roadmap aligned with business and portfolio needs. This 100% remote role has a 6+ month initial duration with a high probability of long term extension.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead SharePoint Online architecture, information architecture, and hub-and-spoke site design across multiple entities.
  • Establish governance standards for permissions, site provisioning, collaboration, and lifecycle management.
  • Assess existing environments and develop prioritized remediation roadmaps, risk registers, and measurable milestones.
  • Provide architectural guidance to an existing SharePoint support team and distributed administrators.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reporting using SharePoint data sources.
  • Utilize ShareGate for migrations, permissions reporting, and security remediation.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to communicate roadmaps, risks, and recommendations.

Requirements:
  • Senior or architect-level SharePoint Online experience leading complex architecture and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Teams-connected sites, hub sites, permissions, and information architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint governance, multi-site architecture, and permissions remediation.
  • Experience with Power BI integration and ShareGate migration and reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, consultative, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and provide direction to distributed support teams.
