Job Description


We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UI and database test automation, SQL and ETL validation, and Agile testing practices, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality, end-to-end testing that ensures reliable software releases.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases from functional requirements and user stories.

  • Contribute to test planning and build test cases per sprint acceptance criteria in Scrum environments.

  • Automate UI and database test cases using Selenium or Tosca.

  • Create and manage test data required for execution of test cases.

  • Execute manual and automated tests and record accurate, reproducible results.

  • Test new and existing features, debug code at unit and integration levels, and report defects and failures.

  • Collaborate with development teams to triage defects and drive resolution.

  • Execute functional, integration, and regression testing across releases.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation scripts.

  • Own end-to-end testing activities and ensure traceability to requirements.

  • Detect, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies and provide timely solutions or workarounds.

  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile lifecycle with appropriate documentation and evidence.

  • Ensure standards and processes are implemented and followed within projects.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related technical field.

  • 6+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in software testing.

  • Hands-on automation using Selenium or Tosca for UI and database testing.

  • Expertise in testing UI and database changes with strong SQL skills.

  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries using joins for validation and ETL testing.

  • Experience with Unix, including writing and executing shell commands.

  • Experience with Autosys job scheduling.

  • Proven ability to document, troubleshoot, and communicate defects effectively.

  • Working knowledge of test management tools such as qTest or Octane.

  • Familiarity with project test phases, including SIT and UAT, and Agile practices.

  • Strong problem identification and solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to be self-directed and effective in large, distributed teams.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience in the banking or financial services domain.

  • Prior experience working with globally distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Oracle database experience.
