Job Summary :

The ServiceNow Developer builds custom applications, automates IT and business processes, and integrates third-party tools into the corporate ServiceNow instance. They ensure platform health, scalability, and adherence to security standards while maximizing the value of modules like ITSM, CMDB, and CSM.

Core Responsibilities

Platform Customization: Design and configure ServiceNow forms, lists, workflows, and service catalog items to meet specific user needs.
Workflow Automation: Build automated processes using platform tools like Flow Designer, Business Rules, and Workflow Administration to replace manual tasks.
System Integration: Architect and maintain data flows between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, Salesforce, SAP) using REST, SOAP, or MID Servers.
Custom Scripting: Write clean, efficient code using JavaScript and the ServiceNow Glide API to extend platform functionality.
Upgrades & Maintenance: Manage update sets, conduct regression testing, troubleshoot application bugs, and smoothly execute platform upgrades.
Reporting & Dashboards: Create complex data visualizations and performance analytics dashboards to provide leadership with system insights.

Technical & Soft Skills

Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in JavaScript is mandatory. Web development skills (HTML, CSS, XML) are highly preferred.
Platform Familiarity: Deep expertise in core modules like Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), or Customer Service Management (CSM).
Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of the ITIL framework and Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
Communication: Ability to collaborate directly with business stakeholders, translate business needs to technical specifications, and document processes.

Key Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
