Duties

Help

  • You will provide advanced administration and specialized technical support for Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) or other relevant GCCS variants.
  • You will provide advanced administration and specialized technical support for Link Management and Monitoring Tools (LMMT) used for monitoring and managing tactical data links.
  • You will administer and maintain a diverse range of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, virtual environments, and associated hardware.
  • You will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of a virtual environment, focusing on optimizing virtual resource allocation, performance and scalability while troubleshooting intricate virtualization issues.
  • You will implement and maintain security hardening measures within the GCCS and LMMT environments, adhering to DON Cybersecurity requirements (e.g., DISA STIGs, CNSSI 1253) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
  • You will develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configuration guides, and operating procedures specifically fCS and LMMT systems.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering, securing, and/or maintaining Command and Control (C2) information systems or administering, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting enterprise IT systems in support of mission operations.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
