Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL Test Engineer to support enterprise data warehouse and data lake initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL testing, data validation, BI reporting, and programming using Java or Python. The role involves validating complex data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting reporting solutions in a large enterprise environment.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse Testing
Strong hands-on experience in ETL Testing and Source-to-Target Data Validation
Experience working with Data Lake platforms (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience validating Power BI dashboards and BI reports
Strong programming skills in Java or Python
Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing
Experience with Data Warehouse concepts and large datasets
Experience with defect tracking and test execution
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Preferred Skills

Financial Services or Banking domain experience
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar
Experience with API and backend testing
Test automation experience

Responsibilities

Perform ETL and Data Warehouse testing
Validate source-to-target data mappings
Test data ingestion into Data Lake environments
Validate Power BI reports and dashboards
Execute SQL queries for backend data validation
Develop automation scripts using Java or Python
Perform regression, integration, and system testing
Report, track, and resolve defects
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineering teams
