Role: QA Automation Engineer with GT UI & API automation framework experience

Location: San Antonio, TX / Plano TX / Phoenix, AZ

Duration: Long Term Contract

Experience: 8+ years

Primary Skill: Guidewire ClaimCenter, GT UI, GT API, TestCafe, JavaScript, Playwright, Cucumber BDD, Karate

Have an overall work experience of 8+ years, with at least 5+ years of Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation testing experience, including Functional automation, In-sprint automation, End-to-End automation, Regression automation, and leadership ownership of GT UI & API automation frameworks.

Job description:

• Lead end-to-end QA activities across multiple testing streams and applications under test (AUT), including Guidewire and Digital systems.
• Understand project requirements and define, implement, and govern test strategies, test plans, schedules, and execution models across programs.
• Develop, enhance, and oversee enterprise-grade automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Ensure adherence to Guidewire standards and automate UI/API scripts using the Guidewire Testing (GT) framework.
• Oversee functional, automation, End-to-End, and regression testing execution and ensure quality outcomes.
• Coordinate specialized testing streams, including AI-assisted testing, performance testing, test data management (TDM), non-production environment (NPE) readiness, and accessibility testing.
• Review automation scripts, test cases, and execution results to ensure coverage, quality, and reusability.
• Perform and guide automation failure analysis, root cause identification, corrective actions, and re-execution.
• Attend all Scrum and governance ceremonies and provide quality, risk, and release-readiness updates to client stakeholders.
• Ensure automation of Smoke, Functional, End-to-End, and Regression test suites and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Achieve and track first-time pass percentage, defect leakage, automation coverage, and release quality metrics.
• Log, track, and manage defect lifecycle through closure using Jira/ADO/ALM/Rally/qTest.
• Create and present quality dashboards, metrics, risk assessments, and release signoffs to leadership.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, domain leads, and client stakeholders to ensure quality alignment.
• Drive automation best practices, accelerators, templates, and reusability standards across teams.
• Mentor, guide, and manage QA engineers, automation specialists, and testing partners.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools (Copilot) across all phases of the test automation lifecycle to improve efficiency and quality.

Skillset:

• Deep insight into STLC, Agile methodologies, and enterprise QA governance.
• Strong background in functional and automation testing, with lead-level execution ownership.
• Proven experience with Guidewire Claims, Policy, Billing, and Digital systems.
• Strong knowledge of End-to-End, Regression, Performance testing, and Test Data Management (TDM) practices.
• Deep expertise in Guidewire Testing (GT) UI & API automation framework.
• Strong technical expertise in JavaScript, TestCafe, Cucumber BDD, Karate.
• Experience leading multi-stream QA teams and managing complex test execution.
• Strong experience in quality metrics, risk management, and release readiness reporting.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and ensure quality alignment across programs.
• Guidewire ACE and Domain certifications (e.g., AINS) must.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in large-scale delivery environments.
• Experience with JIRA/ADO/ALM.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
