Hybrid two weeks onsite a month in either Merrimack, NH or Durham, NC

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data solutions within a highly collaborative technology team. The role focuses on Oracle PL/SQL, SQL scripting, ETL with Informatica, and data warehousing with Snowflake as well as Python/Java API. The position values collaborative delivery, sound data modeling, in this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that power analytics platforms. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners in an Agile environment, with a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and continuous improvement.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data engineering solutions that support enterprise-scale analytics and reporting
  • Build and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, complex SQL scripts, and database objects with a focus on performance tuning
  • Develop and support ETL workflows, primarily using Informatica, to move and transform large datasets
  • Contribute to data warehouse and data mart solutions, including platforms such as Snowflake
  • Apply strong data modeling techniques, including quantitative and multi-dimensional analysis
  • Analyze data to identify gaps, trends, and quality issues, and propose effective technical solutions
  • Partner with product owners, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development using SCRUM or Kanban practices
  • Support DevOps and CI/CD practices to improve reliability and deployment efficiency

Experience Requirements:
6+ years of proven experience developing high-quality data engineering solutions. Prior software development experience within the financial services industry is highly desired as well as:

Strong expertise in:
  • Oracle PL/SQL and advanced SQL scripting
  • Database performance tuning and optimization
  • ETL development using Informatica
  • Data warehousing concepts and implementations (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess technical challenges, evaluate impact, and deliver innovative solutions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Agile delivery experience with Kanban or Scrum (preferred).
  • Beginner proficiency with Java, Python, REST APIs, and AWS (preferred).
Nice to Have
  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Java, Python, REST APIs, and AWS
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Docker
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments


Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
