< data-start="203" data-end="535">We are seeking an experienced Technical Data Steward with strong expertise in data governance, metadata management, and data lineage. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Atlan or similar data cataloging platforms and a strong understanding of modern cloud data ecosystems such as Databricks, Google Cloud Platform, and Snowflake.

This role requires close collaboration with data engineering, analytics, security, and business teams to ensure enterprise data assets are properly governed, documented, secure, and easily discoverable.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, enrich, and maintain metadata within Atlan or similar data governance platforms.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide data governance standards, policies, and best practices.
• Maintain business glossary, data catalog, classifications, and stewardship processes.
• Build and support end-to-end data lineage for improved traceability and impact analysis.
• Ensure datasets, tables, dashboards, and pipelines are properly documented and discoverable.
• Implement and manage data access governance using RBAC/ABAC models.
• Support sensitive data handling, including PII classification and compliance requirements.
• Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to improve data accessibility, quality, and usability.
• Monitor data quality issues and coordinate remediation efforts with stakeholders.
• Configure and maintain integrations between Atlan and platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform, and BI tools.
• Support governance initiatives related to cloud migration and modernization projects.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Metadata Management.
• Hands-on experience with Atlan (preferred) or similar platforms like Collibra or Alation.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage concepts.
• Experience working with Databricks, Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform, or modern cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of data security, PII handling, compliance, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with RBAC/ABAC access control models.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of ETL/ELT and data pipeline concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Retail or Consumer domain environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DBX to Google Cloud Platform migration projects.
• Exposure to data quality tools such as Great Expectations or Monte Carlo.
• Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulatory compliance standards.
• Understanding of BI/reporting tools and enterprise analytics ecosystems.
