Space is a critical domain that connects technology, security, and humanity. This role focuses on building scalable data systems that support advanced aerospace and defense programs. As a Database Engineer, you will contribute to next-generation solutions by developing and maintaining enterprise-grade lifecycle data systems that enable innovation, operational efficiency, and mission readiness.

You will work on a centralized relational database platform used for Integrated Product Support (IPS) and logistics management, supporting the full lifecycle of complex systems-from design to sustainment.

What You'll Do

Design & Manage Relational Databases
Develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level relational databases to ensure high performance, data integrity, and scalability for lifecycle logistics systems.

Logistics Product Data (LPD) Development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and manage Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Logistics Product Data (LPD), and Logistics Operational Risk Analysis (LORA) deliverables.

Cataloging & Provisioning Data Management
Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to create and maintain accurate catalog and provisioning datasets representing complex system components.

Standards & Reporting Compliance
Generate and manage standardized reports (e.g., provisioning Bills of Materials and logistics data outputs) to support operational and sustainment activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate system architecture inputs into database structures, ensuring accurate representation of supply chains, line-replaceable units (LRUs), and spare strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

4-6 years of experience in relational database design, development, and management.

Experience working with structured data systems supporting logistics, supply chain, or lifecycle management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting logistics data standards or lifecycle data models.

Familiarity with provisioning, cataloging, or product data management processes.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Experience generating structured reports and statistical outputs.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
