Network Engineer II

Introduction:

As a Network Engineer II, you will work under the direction of the assigned manager to design computer networks, including LANs, WANs, internet, intranet, cloud, data center, and other communication systems. You will be responsible for network administration, implementation, and support, including wired, wireless, and voice connectivity.

Responsibilities:

• Design computer networks, including LANs, WANs, internet, intranet, cloud, data center, and other communication systems
• Perform administration and implementation tasks for the organization's network infrastructure
• Respond to installation, administration, and support requests for network components and systems
• Provide technical support for network analysis, installation, configuration, and support
• Monitor network performance and investigate and resolve problems and outages
• Evaluate and recommend feasible, cost-effective, and compatible solutions
• Research, plan, test, and support the implementation of business and technical solutions
• Work with network engineers and vendor support to reduce network service disruption
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning for the enterprise
• Incorporate security best practices in network design implementation
• Other functions as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and four (4) years of networking experience; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.

Preferred Skills:

• Working technical knowledge in network automation and network design
• Working knowledge in Enterprise Wireless Technology (preferably Aruba)
• Working knowledge in Extreme Networks (Extreme Routing and Switching, Extreme VSP) is a plus
