Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and guide complex, enterprise-scale technology solutions from concept through implementation. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an architect who combines strong technical depth with the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that meet business needs while aligning with enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions across application, integration, data, cloud, infrastructure, and security domains.
• Develop target-state architectures, perform gap analyses, and help define actionable technology roadmaps.
• Create and apply solution design patterns, reference architectures, standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Identify architectural dependencies, technical risks, constraints, and trade-offs early in the solution design process.
• Guide development teams throughout implementation and deployment to ensure architectural integrity.
• Facilitate architecture discussions, workshops, and design sessions across technical and business teams.
• Build consensus and influence technical direction across teams without direct authority.
• Balance architectural standards and best practices with practical business and delivery requirements.
• Participate in proofs of concept and evaluations of emerging technologies and tools.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and junior architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10⁺ years of hands-on experience architecting complex technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of application, integration, and data architecture.
• Cloud architecture experience is required, with experience in AWS and/or Azure.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies including servers, storage, networking, containers, and platforms such as OpenShift.
• Understanding of security architecture and the ability to incorporate security principles into solution designs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and modern Agile development practices.
• Experience developing solution-level design patterns, reference architectures, and implementation standards.
• Familiarity with modern architectural approaches such as event-driven architecture.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and architectural trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work across multiple teams, navigate competing priorities, build consensus, and influence decisions without direct authority.

Nice to Have

• AWS, Azure, or other relevant cloud certifications.
• AI/ML experience.
• Experience with IoT or other emerging technologies.
• Experience leading or contributing to technology PoCs and tool evaluations.
