Summary

Job Description: In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to Workday AMS teams, coaching them through the adoption of Agile and SAFe principles to optimize service delivery. You will focus on delivery coaching moving beyond high-level theory to help teams execute within the Scaled Agile Framework while managing the unique demands of Workday support and enhancement cycles. This position requires a coach who can bridge the gap between enterprise agility and functional application management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAFe Enablement: Lead the implementation and optimization of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) within the organization's enterprise application division.

  • Workday AMS Coaching: Enable agile delivery specifically for Workday Application Managed Services (AMS) teams, tailoring scrum practices to fit support and maintenance workflows.

  • Delivery Coaching: Provide hands-on coaching to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams to improve predictability, throughput, and quality of delivery.

  • Transformation Leadership: Identify and remove systemic impediments that prevent teams from achieving high-velocity delivery.

  • Scrum Mastery Support: Mentor teams in refining backlogs, optimizing sprint planning, and conducting effective retrospectives within a Workday ecosystem.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure Agile delivery goals align with broader Workday strategic roadmaps.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Establish and track Agile maturity and delivery metrics (Velocity, Cycle Time, Say/Do ratio) to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Methodology Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience with Agile and SAFe frameworks.

  • Specialized Domain: Prior experience coaching or managing delivery within Workday environments or Application Managed Services (AMS).

  • Coaching Foundation: Proven track record in Delivery Coaching and Scrum implementation at the enterprise level.

  • Tooling Proficiency: Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, or ADO) to track complex Workday workstreams.
