Application Support Lead (Java) - Looking for Candidates in PST

This is Jaydeep Singh from Empower Professionals we have an opportunity for a Application Support (Java) with Telecom Domian experience.

Role: Application Support Lead

Location: Remote (PST timezone candidates only)

Duration: 12+ Months

Mandatory Skills:

• Lead application support
• Java development or Java application supp background
• Good in splunk, Grafana, monitoring tools otel

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end application support across production and non-production environments.
• Should have a Java application development background or application support experience
• Design, implement, and optimize monitoring and alerting solutions using Splunk, OTEL and Grafana.
• Write complex Splunk queries, create dashboards, alerts, and monitoring use cases in Splunk.
• Drive root cause analysis and provide advanced troubleshooting across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployments and operational stability.
• Support and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and performance.
• Automate operational processes using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, incident management processes, and continuous improvement practices.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in application support best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Splunk and OTEL:
• Writing complex Splunk queries
• Creating dashboards and alerts
• Building monitoring and observability
• Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes & containerization concepts
• Experience with Grafana for visualizing metrics and building dashboards.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across:
• Application layer
• Middleware
• Infrastructure
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language:
• Python
• Shell
• Bash
• PowerShell

Preferred:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools:
• Terraform
• Experience supporting microservices-based architectures.

In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $60. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
