Title: Administrator Premium II- Senior Mobility & macOS Engineering Specialist
Duration: 3 Months - Long Term
Location: Washington, DC 20433
Hybrid: 4 days onsite per week from day 1
Objective: The objective of this position is to design, implement, and support cloudbased management solutions for Apple and mobile devices, ensuring secure configurations, automation of workflows, crossplatform integration, and alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
Scope of Work
Core Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for:
Technical Engineering & Automation
- Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure for managing Macs using JAMF Pro.
- Automate workflows using JAMF API, Bash, Python, AppleScript, Apple Automator, PowerShell, and Graph API.
- Develop reusable, modular scripting libraries tailored to macOS behavior.
- Automate compliance checks, app deployments, patching workflows, and KPI/email reporting.
Device & Platform Management
- Manage macOS, iOS, Android, and Chromebook devices via JAMF, Microsoft Intune, and Azure.
- Support zero touch and ADE/DEP workflows, JAMF Onboarding, and JAMF Setup Manager.
- Configure network, Wi Fi, VPN, 802.1x, certificate-based authentication, and SCEP profiles.
Troubleshooting & Tier 3 Support
- Troubleshoot complex issues across macOS, iOS, Android, and associated enterprise services.
- Analyze device and system logs, packet captures, and network traces (Wireshark or similar).
- Serve as the Tier 3 technical architect and escalation point for mobility related issues.
Architecture & Cross Functional Engagement
- Apply enterprise architecture thinking to ensure macOS aligns with mixed environments (Windows, Linux).
- Collaborate with InfoSec, Networking, Support, and Procurement teams.
- Contribute to technology selections, security standards, and platform governance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce documentation, configuration guides, and end user instruction videos.
- Create dashboards and analytics using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Generate ongoing reports and metrics for service performance and compliance.
Deliverables
- Automated scripts, libraries, and deployment workflows for macOS management.
- Configuration profiles, policies, and compliance enforcement artifacts.
- Documentation packages (technical SOPs, troubleshooting guides, onboarding workflows).
- Monthly KPI and compliance reports.
- Recommendations on technology standards, preferred tools, and platform improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor s degree in science, Math, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 10+ years designing and managing mobility services on platforms such as JAMF, Intune, Workspace ONE.
- At least 5 years hands on experience with latest macOS releases and JAMF ecosystem.
- Proven background supporting iOS, Android, and macOS, including device log analysis and packet capture.
- Experience integrating Azure AD, Kerberos SSO, SCEP/PKI, Splunk, VPNs (Global Protect), Citrix, and Nessus.
Certifications
- JAMF Certified (Level 300/370 or 400).
- Intune or other MDM Administrator certification.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of mobile device configuration, software deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong client management, communication, and cross team collaboration skills.
- Solid project management proficiency.
- Understanding of mobile application lifecycle and CIS security benchmarks.
- Ability to work effectively in large, diverse technical environments.
