As a Sr. Telecommunications Design Engineer III, you will serve as a senior authority for O&M and long-range planning while delivering hands-on technical leadership. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Salary: $170,000 - $230,000/ yr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Work within a collaborative, high-performing team to deliver technical solutions for federal stakeholders.
  • Perform daily O&M and provisioning for mission-critical telecommunications environments.
  • Analyze IT architectures to inform long-range planning and modernization.
  • Create engineering roadmaps, technical designs, configurations, rack elevations, and bills of materials.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to DoD standards and commercial best practices.
  • Participate in Agile planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Support telecommunications infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance.
  • Communicate technical decisions and designs to stakeholders and customers.
  • Build and maintain customer trust through technical expertise and delivery excellence.
  • Apply creativity and engineering judgment to design solutions that meet mission needs.

Experience Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • BICSI RCDD certification.
  • DoD 8140-aligned certification for the 441 Network Operations Specialist role such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, or CCNP Security.
  • 12+ years of experience designing and supporting IT and telecommunications infrastructure using DoD and commercial standards.
  • Experience with daily O&M, including direct-touch maintenance and provisioning of telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to analyze existing IT architectures and develop strategic modernization and sustainment plans.
  • Hands-on experience producing rack elevations, configuration diagrams, IT roadmaps, engineering configurations, and BOMs.
  • Operational experience ensuring data center and telecommunications designs meet DoD requirements and best practices.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and supporting VoIP and unified communications, including call control, voice gateways, QoS, and enterprise integration.
  • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • BICSI RCDD certification.
