Roles & Responsibilities
The Release Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deploying software releases across various platforms and products. The role ensures timely, accurate implementation of deliverables while minimizing disruption to business operations. This position requires close collaboration with cross functional teams including Development, Quality Assurance, Project Management, DevOps, Scrum Masters, Delivery Leads, and Business Operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the end to end release lifecycle and clearly communicate release objectives and scope.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to define release activities and deployment scope.
- Work with delivery leads to ensure release artifacts comply with organizational standards.
- Coordinate release delivery while managing risks and mitigating impacts to upstream and downstream systems.
- Organize and facilitate release ceremonies, including milestone reviews, task tracking, defect calls, and retrospectives.
- Provide complete visibility into release health, including status, risks, dependencies, and progress.
- Ensure execution quality and adherence to timelines to meet client expectations.
- Facilitate alignment across multiple teams and organizational groups to ensure smooth delivery.

- Experience facilitating team planning ceremonies aligned with release milestones.
- Ability to address questions related to Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
