Role Overview
This position provides an opportunity to be at the forefront of robotics in manufacturing at a newly formed Autonomous Robotic Center. The successful candidate will play a role in shaping the future of robotics, contributing to the development of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies. This role involves executing a Proof of Concept and providing Pilot plant deployment support for a prototype combining a cobot arm with an autonomous mobile platform for kitting and sequencing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-scale experiments in a lab environment in collaboration with the robotics engineering team.
- Work with the manufacturing engineering team responsible for in-plant deployment.
- Support initial deployments in a plant environment in the southeast Michigan area following success in the lab.
- Contribute to indefinite feature additions and program expansion opportunities in this technical space.
Required Qualifications
- Fanuc programming experience.
- Siemens PLC programming experience.
- Mechanical and Electrical technical aptitude.
- A self-starting attitude with a sense of project ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish language capability.
- AMR experience.
- Cobot experience.
- Experience in a plant or engineering environment.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is $70.00 per hour.
