Description
We are looking for a dedicated Data Scientist to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will leverage advanced data science techniques to analyze healthcare data, develop predictive models, and deliver actionable insights that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by addressing health disparities and supporting innovative healthcare initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Utilize machine learning, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques to uncover patterns and trends in healthcare datasets.
Design and implement predictive models to anticipate patient outcomes and guide proactive clinical interventions.
Create clear and impactful data visualizations to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with Data Architects to develop scalable, cloud-based analytic solutions tailored to population health and value-based care.
Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of data-driven strategies in improving patient outcomes and efficiency.
Participate in healthcare projects that focus on chronic disease management and enhancing provider performance.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously enhance data science capabilities within the organization.
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations while handling sensitive healthcare information.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with expertise in machine learning, predictive analytics, and data mining.
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare analytics, including knowledge of healthcare data, clinical workflows, and health outcomes.
Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar tools.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Azure and data engineering tools such as Databricks.
Strong skills in data visualization using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks dashboards.
Ability to work with ETL processes and technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
