Senior SAP Technical Product Manager
Order to Cash | SAP RISE Transformation - Contract Position
Position Type Contract
Domain Focus Order to Cash (O2C)
Key Initiative SAP RISE Transformation
Location / Remote Policy San Jose
Duration 9 months
Overview
We are seeking a Senior SAP Technical Product Manager to contribute to the product strategy for our Order-to-Cash
(O2C) domain as part of our transformation to SAP RISE. This is a contract position ideal for a candidate who thinks
and operates like a Product Manager, not a traditional SAP functional/technical consultant - someone who can
define vision, prioritize roadmap, manage stakeholders, and drive outcomes rather than configure or support SAP
modules.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product roadmap and strategy for the Order to Cash domain, aligning business goals with SAP
capabilities.
Support the transformation and migration to SAP RISE, partnering with technical teams, SAP, and system
integrators.
Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage SAP BDC (Business Data Cloud), SAP BTP (Business Technology
Platform), and embedded AI/Generative AI capabilities to modernize and optimize O2C processes.
Translate business requirements into a clear product backlog, working closely with engineering, architecture,
and functional teams.
Partner with process owners to leverage SAP Signavio (nice to have) for process mining, modeling, and
continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT leadership, and executive sponsors -
communicating product vision, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
Drive prioritization decisions using a value-based, outcome-driven approach (not feature/config-driven).
Define and track KPIs/OKRs to measure product and transformation success.
Facilitate design/solution reviews, roadmap planning sessions, and steering committee updates.
Manage cross-functional dependencies across finance and IT teams involved in the O2C value stream.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in SAP ecosystem roles, with at least 3+ years specifically in a Product Manager /
Product Owner capacity (not purely functional/technical consulting).
Deep domain expertise in Order to Cash (O2C) processes (order management, billing, credit management,
collections, revenue recognition, etc.).
Direct experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation to SAP RISE, including planning, migration strategy, and
change management.
Working knowledge/exposure to SAP BTP (extensions, integration, or app development frameworks) and SAP
BDC.
Familiarity with SAP's AI capabilities (e.g., Joule, embedded AI/ML features, or GenAI use cases within SAP).
Demonstrated Product Manager mindset: comfortable with roadmapping, backlog prioritization, business case
development, and outcome measurement - distinct from a functional consultant's configuration/support
focus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience presenting to and
influencing executive-level stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical feasibility against business
value.
Experience working in Agile/hybrid delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience with SAP Signavio for process modeling, mining, and optimization.
SAP certifications related to S/4HANA, RISE, or BTP.
Experience in industries with complex O2C processes (e.g., Hitech SaaS & Usage-based).
Soft Skills / Attributes
Executive presence and confidence engaging with C-level and VP-level stakeholders.
Strong facilitation skills for cross-functional workshops and steering committee discussions.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-changing transformation environment.
A collaborative, influence-without-authority style of leadership.
