About the Role
As an Information Security Engineer in this contingent role, you will consult on complex, large-scale initiatives that impact enterprise security. You'll analyze and resolve multi-faceted challenges requiring deep technical expertise and strategic thinking. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation on large-scale Information Security Engineering projects with broad organizational impact.
- Review and analyze complex security challenges, including unprecedented factors and intangible risks.
- Develop and implement solutions for multi-faceted security issues, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate strategically with client stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives.
- Contribute to planning and execution of security engineering deliverables across multiple platforms.
- 5+ years of experience with encryption technologies, specifically OpenText Core Data Privacy and Protection (Voltage).
- 5+ years of Unix/Linux systems administration, including troubleshooting, OS hardening, and performance tuning.
- 3+ years of experience in change management and compliance.
- Proficiency in scripting tools and languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
- 4+ years of advanced scripting and automation experience using tools like Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, JavaScript, or UI Path.
- 2+ years of application development experience.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD automated build and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of infrastructure upgrades, security patching, and version management.
- Experience with Splunk for security monitoring and analysis.
